Six area art studios will open their doors to the public on Saturday, May 19th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.  This is a unique opportunity to see artists at work, discuss their craft and techniques and purchase beautiful works of art.  Featured studios are:

• Earthen Metals, 202 E. 1st St.
• Studio 621, 621 Lexington Rd.
• Jewell Arts Photography, 119 W. 2nd St.
• Elizabeth Sullivan Studio, 408 N. Ave. E
• Jan Knight Studio, 12804 Wayne Spur Lane.

In addition the River Valley Farmers Market will hold a "Market to Menu" event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  A chef from Meyer's Elgin Smokehouse will turn the fresh products from the market into culinary delights.
