Thanks to everyone who participated in the 6th Annual Sausage Stampede!! We had a great event on Saturday, October 11. Mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Southside Sausage Stampede to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009. 

Benefiting the Cattlemen for Cancer Research Patient Assistance Fund and the Greater Elgin Chamber of Commerce.   This fund assists patients and their families from Bastrop, Williamson, Travis, Lee and Hays counties who need financial assistance with lodging, meals and similar services while receiving cancer treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The 5K walk/run is a certified race routed through Elgin's beautiful historic residential and business districts.  It is challenging enough for the competitive runner, yet easy enough for the casual walker.  This year we are expecting over 300 participants from all over Central Texas.  To register online contact www. active.com  To download the registration form click here.
