The 39th Annual Western Days Festival hits historic Elgin Texas the week of June 24th - June 28, 2008. The week is packed full with activities all culminating on the grand finale day of Saturday June 28th.

Schedule of Events

Tuesday June 24th - Miss Western Days Pageant: This event is always a popular event that starts the week off with much excitement. If you wish to enter this competition, please complete the application & release forms listed below. The deadline date to submit your applications for the Pageant is June 5th. This event will be held in the Elgin High School Cafeteria and begins at 7:00pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.00 for adults or $3.00 for children under 12. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!

Wednesday June 25th - Saturday June 28th - Rodeo: The Rodeo events will be held at the Lost Pines Rodeo Arena located on Hwy 95S. A different event is scheduled for each night. For more information click here.

Thursday June 26 - Saturday June 28 - Carnival: The carnival will be set up in the parking lot at Memorial Park located at the corner of Hwy 95N and Main Street. Thursday and Friday the carnival will be open from 6:00pm until 11:00pm. On Saturday the carnival will open at 10:00am until 11:00pm.

Friday June 27 - Tennis Court Dance: There will be a free dance in the evening at the Tennis Courts located at Memorial Park on Main Street sponsored by The Elgin Chamber of Commerce. The entertainment will be The Crop Dusters. The dance will be from 8:00pm until 12:00am.

Saturday June 28 - Grand Finale Day: This day is filled with fun for the whole family including a Parade, Carnival, Volleyball, Horseshoe and Softball tournaments, Arts & Craft vendors and Food galore! Live entertainment will be provided through out the afternoon. Events begin at 10:00am and go until 6:00pm in Memorial park on Main Street in Elgin Texas. Admission is free. If you would like to enter in one of our tournaments, please submit a completed application and team fee. If you would like to be a vendor for our Arts & Crafts & Food, please complete a Vendor Application and submit along with your vendor fee. If you would like to participate in our Parade, please complete a Parade Entry Form and submit to the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. Applications for all tournaments, the parade and vendor requests will be listed below.
