Western Days is one of Elgin’s most beloved traditions, bringing together residents and visitors for a three-day celebration of community, culture, and fun. Each year, thousands gather to enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, family friendly activities, and events that showcase the spirit and pride of Elgin.
Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, Western Days offers something for everyone. From lively competitions and downtown festivities to opportunities for local businesses and organizations to get involved, this is a weekend you will not want to miss.

Fashion Show and Tiny Tot Pageant | June 25

A Western Days favorite, the Tiny Tot Pageant invites children ages 3–10 to take the stage in their best western wear. Open to both boys and girls, the pageant features two age groups: ages 3–5 and 6–10, with one boy and one girl winner crowned in each group.
This fun and supportive event is all about confidence, personality, and having a great time on stage. Registration is $50 to participate, and the event is free for family and friends to attend. Come ready to shine and cheer on these young participants.

Fashion Show & Pageant Vendor Market
Calling all boutiques, makers, artisans, western brands, and food vendors! Join the Western Days Thursday Vendor Market during an exciting evening featuring a Fashion Show and Tiny Tot Pageant. Connect with local shoppers, promote your business, and sell directly to attendees in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Indoor vendor spaces and outdoor food truck spots are available. Space is limited, reserve your spot today!

Start your day on the course at the Western Days Golf Tournament. Gather a team of four and enjoy a morning of friendly competition, games, and great company. The tournament includes raffles, mulligans, and concludes with an awards presentation and lunch.

Wild West Pub Crawl | June 26

Round up your crew and experience Downtown Elgin during this lively evening event. Participants will check in and make their way through multiple stops, enjoying drinks, themed fun, and a festive atmosphere.
Your wristband includes three drink stops at Millie’s on Main, El Maguey, The Owl, and Lightning Bar. Please drink responsibly. Western attire is encouraged for a night of great drinks, photos, and good company.

Grand Parade | June 27

Join us for the Grand Parade, a cherished community tradition. This year’s theme,Peace, Love, and Western Days, brings a fun and colorful 1960s twist to the celebration.
Local businesses, organizations, and community members are invited to participate with floats, vehicles, and more. Entry fee is $25.

Festival and Vendor Market | June 27

Western Days serves as Elgin's Annual Homecoming. Three days of non-stop fun, class reunions, and community support makes this one of our favorite events of the year. Held the fourth weekend of every June, Western Days is a great time to be had by all. Thursday and Friday will be a great kick off to lead up to our Grand Parade and Park Festivities on Saturday.
